Gallipoli Funeral Fund exists so that no Muslim family in Australia has to face financial hardship while grieving, and so that every member can be assured of a dignified farewell in keeping with their faith.

This verse is our foundation. Established in 2023, Gallipoli Funeral Fund is a not-for-profit funeral expense facility rooted in the Islamic principle that we care for one another. Members contribute together so that, when one of us passes, a fixed cash benefit is there to help the family meet funeral costs.
We serve consumers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds across Australia, including migrants, refugees and those who have made this country home. As a not-for-profit fund, every contribution is applied to the fund's purpose. No dividends are ever paid to members.
We meet families with empathy at one of life's hardest moments, and act with care and dignity in everything we do.
As an AFSL holder, we hold ourselves to strict standards of honesty, transparency and regulatory compliance.
We are owned by no one and answerable to our members. Our strength is the network of families and mosques behind us.
Gallipoli Funeral Fund is governed by a volunteer board committed to the fund's purpose and its members.
Dr Abdurrahman Asaroglu is the Managing Director of the Gallipoli Turkish Cultural Foundation and Chairman of Gallipoli Funeral Fund, overseeing key Islamic and community initiatives across Australia. He also serves as Chair of GHSL and a Director of the Australian Diyanet Foundation. Holding a PhD in the Sociology of Religion from the University of Melbourne, he has extensive experience in Islamic theology, research and university teaching, and has contributed to the National Centre of Excellence in Islamic Studies. His focus is on community development and religious engagement.
Enver Yasar is a community advocate with over 15 years of experience across the government and community sectors. He currently serves as a Councillor on Cumberland City Council, focused on improving local services and opportunities. Enver holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UNSW, a Diploma of Project Management, and a Certificate of Engagement from IAP2 Australasia, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). He is committed to inclusive communities and to ensuring residents have a voice in local decisions.
Hasan Alca holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Western Sydney and is a CPA with over ten years' experience. He has held numerous senior management positions responsible for monitoring and ensuring regulatory compliance in highly regulated industries, including Aged Care, Financial Services and Education. He serves as the Responsible Manager of the Fund.
Dr Abul Jalaluddin is a Director of ANIC Islamic Finance Advisory and of Gallipoli Funeral Fund Limited, and a columnist for the Australasian Muslim Times. He holds a PhD in financial economics from the University of Wollongong, along with degrees in taxation law and economics. With expertise in taxation, Islamic finance and superannuation, he has published extensively in scholarly journals and authored two books on Islamic finance and economics. He has presented research at international conferences in Australia, the UK, Malaysia, Qatar and Bangladesh.
Our parent organisation, which operates the Auburn Gallipoli Mosque and the iYouth Centre. The Foundation provided the fund's founding seed capital and anchors us in the community.
Our sister entity, operating Gallipoli Home residential aged care and Gallipoli In-Home Care, serving the community's elders with culturally aligned care.
We work with mosques and Islamic cultural centres across New South Wales, Victoria and nationally. Our community partners act as trusted referral points under formal agreements.
