A Secure Funeral Fund
for Every Muslim
At Gallipoli Funeral Fund, we understand how important it is to plan for the future and support your loved ones. As a not-for-profit established in 2023, we provide a fixed cash benefit on a member’s death to help families meet funeral and burial costs. We are community-focused, transparent, and guided by Islamic principles - giving families certainty and financial support when it matters most.
Shariah Compliant
This means members can trust the Fund’s financial benefit and processes to align with Islamic principles, providing peace of mind when meeting funeral and burial costs.
ASIC Regulated
As an ASIC-regulated entity, we adhere to strict compliance standards set by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), ensuring transparency and legal protection for our members.
AFSL Licensed
This licensing guarantees we meet stringent legal and operational requirements and uphold high standards of governance, financial management, and member support.

What we offer
To ensure peace of mind for our members and their loved ones, GFF provides a fixed cash benefit on a member’s death to assist with funeral and burial costs. We do not arrange or coordinate funeral services. On request we can share general information about local funeral providers; we do not recommend or endorse providers, and we receive no fees or commissions. We are guided by Islamic principles and committed to integrity, transparency and mutual support.
Funeral Support and Burial Costs
We provide a fixed cash benefit to assist with Islamic funeral and burial costs. The benefit is paid to the nominated beneficiary (who may be a family member, legal representative, or a funeral service provider anywhere in Australia). We do not arrange or coordinate services; on request we can provide general information about local funeral providers.
Benefit Payment
Members receive a fixed cash benefit paid to their nominated beneficiary to help cover funeral and burial costs, with the amount set by the facility and tier selected. If actual costs are less than the benefit, any balance is paid to the secondary beneficiary or the estate; if costs are more, the estate or family pays the difference.
Membership Benefits
Peace of mind that a fixed cash benefit will be available to your nominated beneficiary to assist with funeral and burial expenses, consistent with Islamic funeral principles and the member’s wishes. Beneficiaries decide how the funds are used within that purpose.
Timely Support
We offer prompt support to members and beneficiaries during the claims process. Where GFF opts to make the benefit (Equivalent Payment), it will generally be paid within 48 hours after we receive the required documents and confirm any outstanding amounts owed to GFF.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of Gallipoli Funeral Fund (GFF) is composed of experienced professionals with expertise in finance, accounting, and Islamic jurisprudence.
Why Choose GFF?
Gallipoli Funeral Fund is Australia’s first ASIC-regulated Muslim funeral fund, providing a secure, transparent, and legally protected solution for Muslim families.
Peace of Mind
Members and their families know a fixed cash benefit is in place to help with funeral and burial costs, so they can focus on grieving, prayer and family rather than financial stress.

Mutual Assistance
Members pool their contributions so that when someone passes away, the fund is there to support their family. This reflects the Islamic principle of mutual assistance in good deeds and shared responsibility for one another.
Financial Hardship Support
Members experiencing genuine financial difficulty can ask to temporarily pause their membership payments. If a death occurs during this period, any outstanding annual fees must be paid so the funeral benefit can still be claimed rather than losing membership entirely.

Non-Profit Commitment
GFF is a not-for-profit fund. Any surplus is reinvested to strengthen member benefits and long-term stability. No profits are distributed to shareholders or directors.

FAQs
Have questions about Gallipoli Funeral Fund (GFF)? We’re here to help.
Any Australian citizen or permanent resident can apply for membership, regardless of age.
To become a member you need to:
1. Complete and submit an application form
2. Have the application accepted by GFF
3. Pay the entry fee, if it applies to you
4. Pay the first annual premium.
Membership is held in one person’s name only. It cannot be transferred to another person and GFF does not offer family or group memberships.
GFF membership provides a fixed cash benefit that is paid to your nominated beneficiary when you pass away. The benefit is intended to help meet funeral and burial costs in line with Islamic funeral principles and your wishes. The benefit amount depends on the facility and tier you choose.
GFF does not arrange or provide funeral services. Our role is to pay the benefit.
GFF offers one product with two facility options:
1. Single Facility covers one person and pays a single fixed cash benefit on the member’s death.
2. Double Facility covers two people under one membership and pays two fixed benefits, one after the first death and one after the second. The annual premium for the Double Facility halves after the first death.
Each facility can be combined with Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3 cover. The tier you choose determines the amount of the fixed cash benefit. Current benefit amounts and fees are set out in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and on the Membership page.
No. GFF does not arrange or coordinate funeral services and does not act as a funeral director. We pay a fixed cash benefit to your nominated beneficiary or legal representative, or directly to a funeral service provider if they are nominated.
On request we can share general information about funeral providers that operate in your area and follow Islamic funeral principles. We do not recommend or endorse particular providers and we do not receive commissions or fees from them.
There are three tiers of cover. Higher tiers provide a higher fixed cash benefit.
1. Tier 1 is generally suited to lower cost councils or regions, or where a burial plot is already held.
2. Tier 2 is a broad national fit and will be suitable for many metropolitan areas.
3. Tier 3 is more suited to higher fee metropolitan locations such as parts of Sydney, inner Melbourne and the ACT.
These points are a guide only. Funeral costs vary by location and provider and may be higher than the benefit you select. Any shortfall must be met by the estate or family. You should consider local costs and your own circumstances and read the PDS and Target Market Determination (TMD) before deciding on a tier. This information is general and is not personal financial advice.
If you are in financial hardship you may write to GFF and request a pause on your membership, explaining your situation. During a pause you do not have to pay annual premiums.
If a member passes away while their membership is paused, all outstanding annual premiums must be paid to claim the benefit. If this cannot happen the membership is cancelled and any entry and gap amounts that have been paid are refunded.
Yes.
1. The entry fee can be paid in full when you join or in instalments over two years. Options are yearly, quarterly or monthly instalments.
2. The annual premium can be paid each year in a single amount or in 12 equal monthly instalments.
If you die before the entry fee has been paid in full, the outstanding entry fee must be paid by your estate for the benefit to be payable.
Once GFF receives all required documents and has confirmed any amounts owed to GFF, payment is normally made within 48 hours. The benefit is paid to your nominated beneficiary, legal representative or nominated funeral service provider.
GFF encourages you to raise concerns with us first so we have a chance to resolve them.
You can make a complaint by contacting the Director of GFF in writing, by email or by phone. Contact details are in the PDS and on the Contact page of this site. We will try to resolve all complaints and disputes promptly and free of charge.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA). AFCA is an independent external dispute resolution scheme and its service is free to you. You must first try to resolve the complaint with us before AFCA can review it.
When could a benefit be declined?
A deceased member may be disqualified from receiving a benefit if:
1. they are in arrears on their entry fee, annual premiums or any other amounts owed to GFF
2. they or their representative are reasonably suspected of having made a false declaration or undertaking to GFF, for example a false terminal illness declaration on joining
3. GFF reasonably suspects that, under prevailing law, the member will not receive a funeral and burial in accordance with Islamic funeral principles.
Recommendations for members
1. Have a valid Will that appoints an executor and clearly states your wish for burial in accordance with Islamic funeral principles.
2. Ensure your nominated beneficiary and your executor know about your GFF membership and understand how the benefit is intended to be used.
